Support » Plugin: Delivery Drivers for WooCommerce » Our comments

We’ve started using your plugin on our multisite solution. In the meantime, we use only basic features and assign drivers to orders to keep track of. Certainly we want to try the rating of drivers and SMS for customers.

I have only a few comments to think about.

    1. Right from the start, we changed the display of driver names in orders table from value ‘display_name_with_login’ to ‘display_name’. I think it’s clearer.

    2. Once the driver has been assigned, you must refresh the page to change the order status. I think it would be better if the page refreshed itself, as it happens when you change status with action buttons.

    3. This would help us enough. We currently have 2 drivers in operation. It would be nice to be able to select orders for a given day and for a given driver to know how much revenue he has to deliver.

These are just our observations. Of course I am open to discussion. We look forward to taking advantage of the additional features that this plugin offers.

Thank you for the comments and for the ideas on how the plugin can be made better.

For #1, I can see how that’d be easier, and I will look into possibly adding an option in the settings for admins to choose (display name with login, display name, login name).

I just released an update which **should** fix #2, which was caused by exit code within the PHP for status changes.

For #3, there is work being done to create a custom Driver Dashboard interface for administrators to see specific details, such as current availability, orders delivered, etc.

I am not sure on an ETA for when it will be released, but it’s being actively worked on, along with driver geo-location and commissions features being built for DDWC Pro.

Anything else you can think of, let me know. Thanks!
