# Others writing posts

 * I am trying to create a site that will let other people from the community write
   origional posts ( not comments ) to the blog. I am hoping that it will be somewhat
   open so that almost anyone can post without a lot of intervention by me. Got 
   any ideas?

 * You might start by looking over [Roles_and_Capabilities](http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities).
   Perhaps you could have folks register for your blog and default new users to 
   a Role that you’re comfortable with.
 * You’ll want some level of intervention or the spammers will eat you alive! Perhaps
   start by defaulting folks to “Contributer”.

 * Handy, I just checked that out and it makes sence, I was hoping for someting 
   a little more like a forum but without all the ugliness of forums. I love usine
   wordpress and would like to make it work for me if it is possible.
