• Hi,

    i have a problem. I installed your plugin and activated it. Later i saw that there is a german translation. I uploaded it and still have the englisch one. I saw in your faq that it is not good to activate another language later and that i need to do some things to correct this.

    I searched some time and didn’t find what i need to do.

    In my wp-config is WPLANG and translation file the same de_DE. Some words are german, most of it english. Can you please help me? Thanks!

  • @xells1984,

    In order to correct the database entries for the email templates go to Subscribe2->Settings and then the Miscellaneous Tab and click the ‘RESET’ button in there.

    If there are some strings still in English it is likely that these are new to the plugin since the most recent translation file. If you are able you could create an updated translation and share that for other German language users.

    I only have three german sentences in “email settings” under send emails. everything else is still in english even with reset and so on. latest translation is for 9.4, maybe that’s the problem?

    I have the same issue. Some sentences are translated and some are not.
    I have tried to disable and enable the plugin and purge all my cache functions, but no luck.

    Since i’m the author for Swedish translation, I have imported the POT file from 10.13 and make sure all sentences are translated.
    Before all translation worked fine, but along the way something has went wrong.

    @mostman,

    Which strings don’t translate and where are they? They may be in the new code and perhaps have not been coded correctly to allow for translation.

    Me bad, I uploaded the PO file instead of the MO file, I should know better. So now it’s workning.

    But, what confused me was that some sentences are translated even if I don’t have the translation file, see these printscreens…

    Offtopic(kind of), these word doesn’t exists in the POT file. Are they part of WordPress translation file?

    @mostman,

    I’m not sure how some of those strings got translated but can’t think it has anything to do with the core WordPress translations as plugins have a text domain for translation strings.

    The missed translation in that list are actually created by other plugins – n your case a few are coming from W3TC.
