I installed JetPack today & it’s working fine for me. I have Site Stats on the dashboard. I used my personal WordPress.com account during the installation.

Another user who AFAIK does not have a WordPress.com account says she gets a “not connected” message and can’t see the Site Stats. Stats are configured to show stats reports to all roles except Contributor.

I tried using a different browser, checking that I myself was not logged into WordPress.com and logging only into my JetPack website. Everything worked OK.

The only odd thing about the site configuration is that Akismet was installed some time ago, using a different WordPress.com account. I don’t know if that’s the problem or whether it’s something else. Thanks for any help

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Stats are configured to show stats reports to all roles except Contributor.

This should indeed be enough, as you’ve realized in your tests. However, the other admin might be trying to view those stats from their WordPress.com account, or from an app using WordPress.com, like one of the desktop apps or one of the mobile apps.

Could you ask that other admin to go to the Jetpack menu in the dashboard, and click on the Link button to link their own account to their WordPress.com account?

Once they do so, they’ll be able to access the stats from their WordPress.com account as well.

Let me know if it helps.

@jeremy: thanks for your reply. But it looks like the only problem was my impatience. The user who got the error message on Sunday reported that the stats were displaying on Monday, without my having changed anything. Since both our computer and the WordPress.com computer were involved, and since our WordPress installation has some server-side caching, I’m not too surprised. But I don’t know what caused the delay.
