  • WP-osCommerce allows you to integrate osCommerce into an existing WordPress website. No need to change the look and feel of your WordPress website. WP.osC integrates transparently into the existing WordPress website and matches your WordPress theme exactly.

The first release candidate of WP-osCommerce is planned for January 2009.

This looks like it could be really cool. I once did a phpBB/osCommerce integration years ago, was challenging for sure.

Thanks, yes It’s really cool and It really works!
    Live Demo :

WP.osC is now available for download.

Thought I’d give it a whirl after trying an alternative (wp shopping cart) and having issues and observing that they seem to have problems addressing support issues over there.

Anyway, got this error after set up when trying to access the catalog:
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/teros/public_html/blog/store/includes/application_top.php on line 334

I’m completely new to the whole e-commerce thing but this seems to have a lot of potential based on what I can gather about the oscommerce package in general and the potential to rework different WP themes to work with it.

P.S. it wasn’t clear to me whether the wp-oscommerce package and WP were supposed to share the same database. You may want to clarify that in ur documentation.

“add_current_page()” is a WP function! WP.osC Does not use any internal WordPress functions or APIs.
You can find here the list of available functions for WP.osC:

You have installed WP.osC and WP-osCommerce plugin without taking a few minutes and reading available user guides. I think that it’s better for you to stop using theme.

With all due respect I read the quick installation guide and tried to follow those instructions as closely as possible. Its possible that I may have the wrong info in the wposc-configure file (I used the WP db info) but as I said theres no mention of that in YOUR install guide so its not clear to someone new to your script and ecommerce.
I figure that after a successful install would be the time to read more guides on using the scripts. Until I know I’m actually going to find a script worth using I don’t usually spend hours pouring over documentation on the ends and outs of using it.

I have the wposc-configure file set up with the WP db info. I have “Standalone” defined. I previously tried Symbiosis.
My wp-oscommerce install is in a subfolder of my blog named “store”.

Also, maybe add current page is a wp function BUT IT IS in the wposc code. I’m looking at it right now – add_current_page(); – line 334 of application_top.php in the includes folder.

As for your insinuation that I’m too rushed or lazy to read any documentation its worth noting that I had to take the time to update cpanel on my host to rebuild my apache server software to include curl and openssl before I could install so I wasn’t in that big of a hurry.

BTW – I AM able to access the oscommerce admin area, the error is only when I try to access the catalog.

    Thanks, Teros

    Sorry , You’re probably right 🙂

Update – after taking a break, cleaning out all my caches, etc.. it seems to be working in standalone mode now. Yeaaa !

I’ll try out Symbiosis and the plugin later on, and after I make sure everything’s working I’ll try to adapt some of my other themes.

I really hope you continue development on this Roya, it seems to have a lot of potential to be a very stable and feature rich e-commerce solution for wordpress right out of the gate and that’s something that I think the WP community really needs as more and more people begin using WP as a CMS solution.

i installed this fine, found the website informative, got stuck in with your wp-osc functions and found that the fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/teros/public_html/blog/store/includes/application_top.php on line 334

was caused by a call to a language module which was being called twice, so i commented it out within the applications_top, thought again and decided that excluding that page was a saver options.

this is a great idea and i hope it works out as wp-commerce is f***ing horrible.

Hi- I’m brand new to OScommerce and I’m working through the quick install and I’m stuck here:

Open your web browser and go to http://yourserver/store_location/install/. You will see the following screen.

I don’t know what information I need to replace. My host server is Hostgator and my blog is and I put the catalog folder contents into a subdir called shop- I would greatly appreciate some info to get past this step. Thank you very much,
