Orders that use 3D Secure are being set to ‘On Hold’. Orders without this are fine and go to ‘Completed’. In both cases, the orders in stripe are fine, and have no errors, just that the orders with 3D secure have extra entries confirming the 3D Secure worked “This payment was verified with 3D Secure and is protected from being disputed for fraud”.

  • Hello,

3D Secure is a feature that is enabled by the card issuer company, the goal is to add an extra protection layer for authentication and anti-fraud policies, It is not something that we can “force” from the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway extension.

If the customer’s card/bank requires 3D Secure, then WooCommerce Stripe will show the 3D Secure authentication modal.

I’d suggest creating a test order, authenticating with a 3D Secure, and you can follow these instructions from Stripe:

    https://stripe.com/docs/testing#regulatory-cards

Then, once the test order is created, please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > stripe > settings > advanced settings > Log error messages. Be sure to enable the debug mode.

Finally, please share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if any). This will help to investigate any possible cause of the issue.

Let us know what you find.
