    The setup is using Paypal Payments Standard 2.0.

    When I visit the admin store sales. I have orders marked Order Received. When I go to, I see the payment went through. However, it is not marking the order as Accepted Payment.

    I have checked the instructions and the setup on the site multiple times. It seems to be correct. Do you have any ideas?

    Ray with Wp eCommerce Support here. Have you set up the Paypal’s IPN correctly? Have you enabled IPN so that paypal can notify your site that a payment went through? Is there hosting settings such as firewall that might prevent such things?

    The IPN setting on Paypal website might be the problem. The documents says enable IPN on Paypal, but I don’t know which URL to put in the Notification URL.

    On the Plugin side, I have “Yes” bullet click for IPN.

    In this thread ( I found, it says I don’t need to enable the IPN setting in Paypal.

    Sorry, I am a little confused what I actually need to do.

    I am up to version 3.9.1 and still not resolved.

    I am now on WordPress 4.1 as well.

    Any suggestions of what else I can try?

    In a development site I’m working on, I see something similar.

    WPEC 3.9.1
    IPN and Return URL are OFF in PayPal (per WPEC docs)
    IPN is on in Standard Payments Pro

    Checkout goes to PayPal
    Transaction is complete
    User stays on PayPal page

    Transaction is not marked complete on site. User does not return to site. Emails are not generated (since the user doesn’t return to the site).

    WPEC support says the site must be live (e.g., in the DNS) and not use the PayPal sandbox account.

    So, I’m in the process of finishing the site and will go live to see if the problem still exists.

    I’ll post an update here once I go live and see what happens. If you find out anything, can you please post it as well?


    Great, that will be helpful. The more that have the issue the bigger chance to target the issue.

    Might not be the actuall issue but can you look in the paypal account and make sure the payment is received.
    I noticed some times when you receive money in another currency you have to accept the payment from within the PayPal account.
