    Hi There,
I would like to order my products in alphabetical order by default. Currently I only found a way to order with the filtering option “order-by”. Unfortunately this those not order al the products. It only orders the ones that are on the page. Also all the sub-categories disappear when setting to “order-by”. The only solution that I found to order it correctly is to set endless scrolling on. But this makes the website load very slow. Because of the many products. So it’s not really an option. See also:

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi FP,

Do you have the most recent version of the plugin? If so, if you edit your catalog, scroll down and click the “Sort Items Alphabetically (A-Z)” and save, does that make any difference?

Also the “Sort By” dropdown is designed to list all the products together by name (to make it easier for users who may only know the name of what they’re looking for and not the category).

In terms of sorting within the category, I’ll note it as feature request and will discuss the viability of implementing it in a future update.

Thanks you, for the quick reply! Really appreciate that.
I have spotted that that feature before. But used only categories to create my catalogs. So it will sort out the categories. But not the products.

I also tried to make a catalog based on products but could not get it to work. I could only add 1000 products at a time. And catalog has over 2000 products. So I tried to the rest but it did not work. It just added the same products dubbel. In the end I had a catalog with 3000 products.

Sorting within the category would probably fix this all. Looking forward to that feature 🙂

You can already sort within a category. Just go to the “Categories” tab and click on the category you want. You’ll then get a table with a list of all the products in that category, which you can drag and drop.

Ahh I see, I guess the function is a bit buggy. I am using Chrome on a mac.
In the backend > category tab > edit category > I click on top of the category to oder and hit save. go back to < category overview tab and back again to > edit category the order is back to it’s default (unordered) set. But if I do the same handeling with moving the swapping a product by dragging it will remamber the order.
Would be nice to have something to just automat this handeling.
    Thanks for the support!
