# Ordering pages??

 * Hi,
 * I am in the default theme and I am trying to order the pages I am creating as
   asides to the blog, but the page order field doesn’t seem to have any bearing
   on what appears on the blog. It seems WP orders the pages according to alphabetical
   order.
 * Thoughts on what I am doing wrong? Why won’t my page order field input work?

 * Becasue it needs the code in the sidebar that ‘understands’ your input:
