# ORDER_NOT_APPROVED error

 * Today I have noticed that some of the payments fail with following message
 *     ```wp-block-code
       Failed to process the payment. Please try again or contact the shop admin. [UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation. https://developer.paypal.com/api/rest/reference/orders/v2/errors/#ORDER_NOT_APPROVED PayPalGateway.php:513 ORDER_NOT_APPROVED Payer has not yet approved the Order for payment. Please redirect the payer to the ‘rel’:’approve’ url returned as part of the HATEOAS links within the Create Order call or provide a valid payment_source in the request.OrderEndpoint.php:271

 * The `ORDER_NOT_APPROVED` error comes directly from the PayPal API and means that
   the customer did not approve the payment; either they closed the PayPal pop-up,
   navigated away, or something prevented them from completing the approval step.
   This is not something controlled or caused by the plugin itself.
 * The HATEOAS message is part of the standard PayPal API response structure, but
   I’m seeing it for the first time after a very long time. To better understand
   what’s happening, we would need to review the full context of the affected order,
   ideally including a screenshot of the order notes, any relevant console errors,
   and possibly the debug log.
