Support » Plugin: Deposits & Partial Payments for WooCommerce » Order status and paying via email

Generally in WooCommerce paid orders automatically get the processing status.

If it is a deposit based order if you use the email to customer option on the one of the instalment orders it sends an email to the customer with a link to pay.

For orders which are processing it states “Main order’s status is “processing”—it cannot be paid for.”

In this scenario where the parent order is processing, what should be done to allow payment?

I would have assumed that instead of getting the processing order status, any orders which contain deposits yet to be paid would get the partial payment order status and therefore allow the additional payments to be made?

    Thank you,

If you are creating an order with a deposit option, then the scenario goes as follows.  When the deposit order is done, the partial deposit order status is marked as “completed” (It will automatically do this for online payment methods). Then the parent order status automatically goes to the “partially paid” status. Then only the customers are able to make the balance payment. The main parent order status automatically goes to “processing” or “completed” after completing all the partial orders. Hope you understand the scenario.
