Great plugin and smart coding – thanks for making this available for free!

I have one question: How can I change the order of jobs in the listing on the front end – the default ordering is probably by date but a custom ordering capability would be great.

I saw the meta box ‘Post Attributes | Order” on every job entry in the back-end but changing the number here does not seem to change the order on the front-end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi @andi_sf,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Currently, this feature is not available in Simple Job Board. It falls under customization.

However, changing the order through meta box “Post Attribute” would note make the necessary adjustments, you need to explore and modify the core SJB files in order to add that functionality.

Furthermore, If you do not have a programming background then we would recommend you to take help from an expert WordPress programmer.

    Best Regards,

thanks so much for getting back to me. I found a way of getting the custom sort order on the front-end that is specified in the back-end by installing the plug-in ‘Simple Custom Post Order’ and then adding the ‘sort_column’ parameter in one of the template files that calls the query – this way the query change will not be overwritten by any plug-in updates.

In case I need more customized work I will definitely contact you via your main site.

    Thanks again.
