Support » Plugin: NextGEN Custom Fields » Order of Custom Fields in Backend

  • Resolved widecast

    Hi there,

I’m wondering, is there a way to order how the custom fields are displayed in the edit screen?

It doesn’t seem to be alphabetical, nor in the order that they were linked to the gallery.

Ideally, I need to order those custom fields according to a certain logic for my client. Thanks for any info that may point me in the right direction,

  • And one more thing, is there a limit to the total amount of custom fields? I’ve created 10 but it looks like only 8 are visible in the edit screen.

    Hi David

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to order the fields. It is something that would be useful, and I’ve added it to my list of things to look into. But I don’t have as much time to spend on my WordPress plugins as I would like, so I can’t promise it’s going to be soon.

With regards to only 8 fields showing: I think the NGG interface just can’t handle that many columns in a row. I have got the problem on my list of things to improve, it’s just finding the time that’s the issue.

Hey Shauno. Not a problem, I’ll figure something out. Thanks for replying!
