 * Hi
 * When using the order import routine, woo-commerce creates its own order number
   and adds the original order number (from my import file) as a note on the order.
   I would really like the Woocommerce order to be the order number I am importing.
   Is this possible?
 * Many thanks
 * Sarah

 * Hi [@sjcakey](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sjcakey/),
 * As per our understanding you are having the issue of order number being automatically
   generated by Wooocommerce instead of using the same order number in the CSV file.

   If you are migrating the orders from one site to another site and if the order
   ID is already used on the importing site for other posts then the orders will
   be imported with a new order number. You can overcome this issue by installing
   our [Sequential order number plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wt-woocommerce-sequential-order-numbers/).

 * Hi
 * Yes, that is the problem – I am importing orders from a different eCommerce site
   into Woocommerce. The other E-commerce site has an Order Id that I would like
   to become the order Id in Woocommece so I can easily cross-reference the two.
 * The order numbers that are coming over from the other eCommerce site are much
   longer than the numbers Wocommece is generating so they are not already in use
   by Woocommerce so I don’t see why new numbers are being generated rather than
   importing the Order Id supplied in the CSV file. I looked at the sequential order
   number plugin but I don’t understand how this would help in this situation. Please
   give more details.
 * Many thanks

 * Hi [@sjcakey](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sjcakey/),
 * In order to import orders with the same ID as in the CSV file, the ID present
   in the CSV column has to be available on the importing site. If the ID is already
   used for other posts then the orders cannot be imported with the same ID. Hope
   this is clear.
 * Also, please make sure that you use the default column header names in the importing
   file.
