Support » Plugin: Booster for WooCommerce » Order Id no longer sequential

    Hi all,

Since a couple of days the ‘Sequential: next order number’ is not working anymore. The next order in line should be 120210562, but when a new order comes in this order number is what we get: ‘1202113358’ even though the Sequential: next order number setting in booster settings is 562.
What we find strange is that: ‘Order Number Custom Prefix’ and ‘Order Number Date Prefix’ do work, hence the first 5 numbers of the order id. But for some reason the ‘Sequential: Next Order Number’ doesn’t.

Now it looks like this in our order page:
    13th of june – order number 1202113358
    12th of june – order number 120210561

The only thing we can think of that might’ve effected this in some way is updating WordPress to 5.7.2. Is there anyone that has this issue maybe? We have no clue how to fix this at the moment. We would really appreciate some help.

    Kind regards,

    Irik

    Hi @infoirik

Thanks for reaching out to us.

If possible can you please share a screenshot of the module configuration? We will surely check and help you to resolve it.

Having the same issue since update Version 5.4.2.

All order numbers since update are the same (Order Numbers Module Options config has not changed).

Sequential: Next Order Number < this value never changes after an order.

Have to add, have been using for years with no changes to config at all since last update.

No idea how to upload screenshot here, but wanted devs to know other users are seeing the same problem

    Hello @infoirik @pckeys,

For your sequential number change, you have to enumerate once daily so it getting sequence numbers from the sequence fields.

    Please follow the steps below
[1] please click on Orders Renumerate in the order number module.

[2] Then click on Renumerate Order button and your sequence will be updated and also customer order number will update in my account section

    Thank you

I beleive you’ve completely misunderstood the problem. We’ve been using booster for well over 5 years and we’ve had sequential order numbers enabled and working during all that time.
We have NEVER had to enumerate any orders… I suspect you are talking about enumerating past orders… that is not what the problem was/is

The behavior described in the initial post and my upvote was IMMEDIATELY after the stated version update.

    Hi Rony P,

Sadly that ‘solution’ doesn’t help. David also told me to reset the settings of the module but that also does not help us. we still have the issue described as the initial post. It seems that the ‘sequential order numbering’ part doesn’t work or connect to our order numbers. The custom prefix and number date prefix do show up.

As stated above the change was suddenly, since we’ve updated to WordPress 5.7.2 and suddenly the new orders that came in were totally different order numbers than the order before the update.

After resetting the module, and numerous tries of ‘renumerating’ order numbers are still not fixed.
PS. we’ve updated WordPress to 5.8 and Woocommerce to 5.5.2.

    Kind regards,

    John
