    Hello,

On my site, I have Customer user role that can make order and Sales user role that helps Customers to do their order and assisting them.

Now, for some reason, I need the Sales to be able to help make orders of the Customer from the Sales account, but will appear on the related Customer account.

    Is this possible?

    Cheers,
    slimmz

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

WooCommerce relies on the default WordPress user functionality and it adds a “customer” user role (as well as the “Shop manager” user role):

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/roles-capabilities/

There isn’t a “Sales” user role though and by default, no matter the user role, if someone places an order from their account – the order will be associated with that account.

Admins and shop managers should be able to create orders manually from wp-admin though and assign those to specific users:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#manually-adding-an-order

If you’re using an additional plugin to add a “Sales” user role – you may want to reach out to the support team of that plugin.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for reaching me too! @grigaswp

    Sorry for my late reply,

Yes, I do use a custom plugin to create the “Sales” role but I think overall the function will run the same.

I think your second point catch me and certainly will try it.

I will come with an update soon

    cheers

By default, only Shop Managers and Administrators have the capability to create orders for users from wp-admin, however, you could use a plugin like User Role Editor in order to adjust capabilities of the “Sales” user role.

    Hello @grigaswp

I did use the plugin you mentioned on my site, but I just realize that my custom “Sales” role can not do “Add New” order. Although I copied the administrator role capability to re-create the “Sales” role, it still can’t do. The page says “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Any assist?

In that case you may want to reach out to the support team of the User Role Editor plugin since neither the “Sales” user role nor the ability to edit capabilities of a specific user role are included in WooCommerce by default.
