    I use woocommerce and mollie.

When my clients pay with credit card and there are some issues with their bank account and the payment is not fulfilled, they receive an order confirmation mail anyway. With this mail they get a link to pay again and a disclaimer, that the paying is still outstanding. The disclaimer is at the end of the mail and the clients say they didn’t see it. Can I change the content of this mail? From where does the content come?

    Thanks in advance!

    Barbara

    Hi @babsi1b,

An order confirmation mail from WooCommerce is being sent after the order changes the status from “pending payment” to “processing”.
When the Mollie site signals that the credit card payment succeeded, the webhook will be called, changing the status, initiating the default WooCommerce mail delivery.
The scenario you describe is something I currently cannot reproduce, so we would like to take a look at your site.
You can share sensitive information like the WooCommerce system report in an internal support ticket with us here:

Hi Niklas, thanks for your quick response!

There is the page where you can order a breakfast:

    https://gundelrebe.connected-concepts.at/fruehstueck/

I have set up a test environment with no real credit card data. At the end you can choose if the payment should be fulfilled (bezahlt) or interrupt (abgebrochen).

    Hi @babsi1b,

    Thanks for the test environment.
The order confirmation indeed gets sent immediately on your site, but this is not the default Mollie behavior. There are some WooCommerce extensions like for example Germanized that can cause this.
It’s a regulatory behavior these plugin developers recommend to keep, because even though no payment was processed, the sales contract is still valid and may require notifications in some regions. I am not a lawyer and don’t know about Austrian laws in this regard, so I would recommend contacting the plugin developers, or even better: Seeking legal advice if you want actual binding information.
To rule out a Mollie behavior, can you please disable all other plugins except for Mollie and WooCommerce to see if the behavior persists? Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi Niklas,

I guess you are right. There is a legal requirement in Austria to send two separated mails in the order process. One to confirm the order and one to confirm the payment and therefore close a “contract”.

I have now deactivated the plugins except for Mollie and WooCommerce.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @babsi1b,

I just made another test order but did not receive any emails at all this time.
When PHP mails are blocked and you configured SMTP, this can happen.
But only with Mollie and WooCommerce, you will not receive these instant notifications by default.
I don’t know which plugins you have installed, but for Germanized, there is this filter: https://gist.github.com/vendidero/01d28cba32c20e4a7a308eb4bf86de3e
Since we can safely say that this is not a Mollie behavior, I will mark this thread resolved.
If any other questions come up, please let us know.

In any case, if you are happy with our plugin and support, we would highly appreciate it if you could leave a short review with your opinion here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/mollie-payments-for-woocommerce/reviews/#new-post
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
