Yes, you guessed it right! Currently, the random order filters products from All the Products. Don’t worry, we’ve already taken note of the issue and sent it to our developer. We’re confident that the problem will be resolved in the next plugin update.
However, as a quick solution, we will provide you with a modified version of the plugin that will allow you to filter the latest products in random order. We have forwarded the request to the development team and we will send you the updated plugin download link by tomorrow.

We have fixed the issue of the random sorting along with the latest filtered products. We are attaching a modified version of the plugin provide an instant solution to you. Download and install the modified version and hopefully, the issue will be resolved.

Unfortunately I’m not very comfortable with installing plugins manually… If it’s not too risky I’m willing to try, but I won’t be able to before next week. Otherwise I can wait for the next release.
