Options – weight bases and customer choice?

I want my shipping costs to be calculated by weight, but also want the customer to be able to choose “standard mail” or “registered mail” as their preferred shipping method.

For example:
A small parcel weights <125grams
This is $5 for standard mail and $8 for registered mail.

Once the price is calculated based on weight, I want the customer to be able to select their preferred shipping method.

Is there a way to do this?
