• Hi,

    The Restricted Site Access Plugin is causing some issues.

    When it is activated, this page is blank:

    ../wp-admin/options-reading.php

    Of course that means that no settings can be seen or changed. Luckily, the default settings are enough to restrict the site, but I need to see the reading page.

    When the plugin is deactivated, Options-Reading.php goes back to normal, without the RSA plugin’s settings of course.

    What can I do?

    —-

    I considered upgrading to the latest WP. But, before I did that, I want to back up the site. I have not done that yet because for some reason, I am unable to install any backup plugin, or any plugin at all it seems.

    When I try to Activate a plugin called Backup, I get this message:
    PHP >=5.3.0 version required.

    And when I try to install a plugin called Simple Backup, I get this message:
    Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/simple-backup.2.7.11.zip…

    Download failed. SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

    Thanks,
    Alan

    Are you running WordPress 4.3.1? I’ve test a few instances running 4.3.1, and can’t replicate this problem… can either of you provide more information concerning other plugins you might have installed, and the web browser you’re using?
