[resolved] Options Page error: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page (2 posts)

I have WordFence (WF) installed on a WPMU / network site.

After installation, basic setup (including setting up my email address during WF's tour) and a fresh scan completed that reported no problems, WF alerts atop my WP admin pages:

You have not set an administrator email address to receive alerts for Wordfence. Please click here to go to the Wordfence Options Page and set an email address where you will receive security alerts from this site.

Clicking the link to WF's options page results in an error:

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

I've deactivated another caching plugin amongst others and the error persists.

Does anyone have proposed solutions? Thanks.

FYI: the issue was also reported here without final resolution. This new ticket includes steps taken
