  • Hello,

When you say “options,” do you mean the settings shown in this screenshot?

    Yes…
the configuration options given in the screenshots are disabled

All of our customization options *inside* the plugin are greyed out. You have to go to our actual site to customize and embed a calculator (and yes embedding straight from our site works fine on wordpress sites too).

I’ve been using your plug in for years and use to be able to make changes to the size and color in the plugin and now I have to go to your web site? This dosent make sense, what is the logic?

Sorry get the idea now (lame) you have buy each one and they aint cheap either. Really 29 bucks? Come on…

All of our calculators are free to embed. You can embed via the wordpress plugin or straight from our site for free.

If you want to customize, though, we require a fee to help keep things running smoothly. This was a change made about 6 months ago. The good news is that we offer many more customizations from the site than were ever available in the plugin!

How do you embed via the plugin? If I have to go to a site and use that code, what’s the point of the plugin exactly?

How do I embed the calculator through plugin if all options *inside* the plugin are greyed out? I just need to use this plugin instead of embedding the code from your website.

I just thought at least few features of this plugin are free .

    Thanks..

    @jodzeee:

You do not have to go to our site to use the basic CalculatorPro plugin.

Here is how to embed via the plugin:

    1. Upload the plugin zip file to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
    3. Go to Settings->Calculator Pro to autogenerate your calculator shortcode.

But all the settings are grayed out and as you said earlier:

“All of our customization options *inside* the plugin are greyed out. You have to go to our actual site to customize and embed a calculator (and yes embedding straight from our site works fine on wordpress sites too).”

Unless I’m misunderstanding or doing something wrong … if I want to use the free version, I don’t need a plugin at all, I just get the code from your website. So no point in having a plugin unless I choose to pay for more features.

You’re exactly right; there is no difference between the free calculators on our site and the ones in the plugin. You are welcome to use either method to embed a calculator!

Would it kill you, to have all the short codes available like it used to be on before? I am updating a page I had over 20 calculators on, and now I have to go one by one to find the stupid code…

    Hi tribalplague,
    Thanks…
Which steps you followed to get the shortcodes.

I was really unable to understand why this plugin has been created if user can not access any of the plugin features.
Finally I switched to another plugin and written all the formulas which I required to create health calculators.

I don’t want to customize the calculator, I just want it to show up on my page. I’ve generated a shortcode ( [calc id=2690] ) but when I paste that in, nothing shows up. Is there a step I’m missing? Please let me know, Mr. Plugin Author!

    Hi cuorebrave,

Can you post a link to the page you are trying to put the calculator on, as well as the code you want to embed?

    Thanks!
