Optional Donor Recognition – what purpose?

    Hi Allen — What did you envision for the option for a donor to be recognized vs. remain anonymous?

    I had a donor choose not to be anonymous. The question on the form seems to imply they’ll be shown on a public list. They’re shown in my admin console but there’s no public display. I could make a list and manually update it on my public page, but that seems so… last century. Did you have something in mind for that?

    Hi Jim!

    I am going to add a shortcode that will let you display a donor wall – that is one way the anonymous checkbox will be used – but others have wanted it in case they wanted to put donor thank yous in a newsletter for example

    Expect the donor wall soon!

    Okay, thanks Allen. I’m assuming the shortcode will work on the same page with the donations form, or on a separate page, as I choose?

    I have four weeks until my event so, if I’m going to use a donor wall, I really need it now. I understand it takes time and I’m not asking you to rush it, so I’m thinking I’ll just remove the question from the form altogether so I’m not creating an expectation I can’t fulfill.

    No – this fell off my radar – I’ve added back to my list – right after UK Gift Add checkbox is added.
