Hi. I’m new to wordpress. I’ve been tasked to create our company internal website. We need to grant our logged in users (assigned Author role), the ability to upload photos, create, edit or delete albums from the frontend. I went through the settings to grant permissions to this role. Created a parent album and inserted the shortcode on the page. However, when the user is logged in as Author, these options are not showing on the page. They are able to view the photos but nothing else. All options do show on the frontend when logged in as Administrator.

I’m using another plugin for forums which is called WP Symposium. This plugin assigns a Members page that contains the individual users albums and on this page when the user is logged in as Author, all these options to upload, create, edit or delete are there on the frontend. So i’m wondering if there’s anything I might be missing and I would truly appreciate some guidance. Please help.

    Thanks.

Table VII-A is for the back-end, you should configure Table VII-B and VII-D

    Check the following boxes:

    Table VII-B1, Table VII-B1.1, Table VII-B1.2, Table VII-B2
    Table VII-D1.1, Table VII-D1.2, Table VII-D2.1

    Also, read this documentation page

Thank you so much for the reply. I’ve made the tweaks to the settings in those tables you mentioned and got it to work. You have created a powerful plugin here. So many options for customization. I just hope that I’d be able to take advantage of it all as I continue to learn how to use it. I’m so grateful that this is offered in the WordPress repository.

Thank you for all your hard work. Please keep it up! 🙂
