    Hi David,

    I think you’ve developed the best footnotes plugin out there, at least for blogs. Thank you! (Thanks for being active here, too.) It can even be better and really stand out, though, I think…

    Aside from being able to show pretty tooltips when hovering over an indentifier/superscript (an option available only on desktops), there should also be an option for clicking/tapping, which would be great for both desktops and mobiles (the universe, essentially). Mobile users make up a huge chunk.

    Practically there’s no use to take readers to the footnotes (below the post) after they click/tap on a superscript; it just disrupts reading flow. Showing pretty tooltips would be much better for that move instead.

    The “back-links” in the footnotes are awesome! (Just saying.)

    These footnotes for example. I think that’s the simplest, most convenient, and most efficient way to do footnotes for the web and readers. Kinda mind-boggling that no plugin has been created yet that does exactly that.
