I am always happy to receive updates with fixes and innovations. But the function or effect are not always as clear and described.

Added: Option to disable get parameter for image URL to allow caching images in CDN
What are the benefits of this option and what is the best setting?

Added: Option to enable/disable GDPR compliance
I know GDPR and that is also important for my country, but what is less for the visitor to my website if I activate this option?

    thanks a lot

  • Dear @detoris,
    Thank you for the inquiry.

    1. The best setting for this is to disable it, if you don’t want to see image file changes (e.g. set watermark, rotate, resize, reset, ..) without clearing cache
    2. With enabled GDPR, captcha does not work in image comments

Thank you for the explanation. In order not to get it wrong, I would have the following questions:

    to 1.:
Isn’t it better to leave it activated, because it doesn’t interfere with unchanged images and does not add IDs and requires a reload with changed images? Or does it negatively affect the loading speed or something else?

    to 2 .:
Shouldn’t the setting for a good GDPR
“Save IP (Disable saving user IP address when rating the images)” be deactivated?

    Dear @detoris

    1. The plugin works as before, that is why the default value is set to that.
    2.Yes
