    Hi,

I used WP Super Cache 5 months. When I move shared hosting to VPS. I see W3 Total Cache would be better on VPS. So, now I’m using W3 Total Cache.

I’m worry about how to enable and use APC or Memcached or eAccelerator or disk for caching? And which is better for my VPS?

My VPS’s configuration on HostGator is CPU 1.9G, RAM 1G, Disk 50G.

Please help me how to enable and use CDN (self-hosted)!

    Thanks in advance,

  • I’m using WordPress 3.0.1 (Multisite)

You have made a good choice for choosing W3 Total Cache. I am not sure how you regard for self-hosted CDN, but W3 Total Cache allows for integration with CDN mirrors server that requires the CNAME records to be created and resolved properly and modification of your .htaccess file.

    General Settings
    – Enable CDN services.
    – CDN Type: Origin Pull(Mirror)
    – CDN hostname: cdn.domain.com(your CDN name set from step 3.

    Content Delivery Network(CDN) Settings
    – Check on all boxes
Then replace your site’s hostname with your CNAME.

Use APC for database and object caching and page cache method should be disk enhanced.

It’s good to see the plugin creator around 🙂
