Optimizepress Upgrade Rolled My Site back

    This morning I had Optimizepress upgraded to the latest version.

    Instantly, all the pages I had created or updated with Live Editor in the last 24 hours disappeared or reverted back to the earlier version.

    2 admin users I deleted yesterday reappeared in the panel of users. 1 admin user I created (to do the OP2 upgrade) disappeared.

    As if the last 24 hours of work on the site never happened.

    I haven’t had a response from OptimizePress yet. Even if I can get my host to successfully restore the site as it was pre-upgrade using a backup copy, I’d like to understand if anyone else has haad this problem and what the fix is.

    @mentalist2009 Did you hear back from support?

    Were you able to get your site restored at the host?

    Hi and thanks for asking!

    OP2 only responded on Tuesday, 4 days after my online event was meant to launch. I did get my host company to restore what they had when it became clear that I was getting nowhere with OP2. But the backup had occurred before most of the work I did so I just had to start again. But at least it was restored to a version without the OP2 upgrade.

    So what I did was to upgrade OP2. Then rebuilt the pages.

    OP2’s response was, it’s only a theme so no way it could do this

    But this literally happened right before my eyes. My pages and content were there one minute, then the upgrade was done and poof! Everything rolled back to an earlier version.

    Needless to say, I now back up, both via my host and via Backup-guard every hour or so!

    I can’t believe I’m the only one this has happened to, or will happen to.
