optimize JS breaks owlcarousel.js

Hey there…i have some problems using autoptimize.

When i click on optimize javascript all slider of my theme running with owlcarousel ( woocommerce product image zoom, variation images / blog post slider and so on ) are broken

for example

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).owlCarousel is not a function
at (index):293

I use the xstore theme

Do u have any idea to fix that problem…i searched on google a lot of time without any solution for me

you’ll probably have to exclude the owlCarousel from JS optimization (cfr. FAQ for generic info on how to exclude).

hey..thanks…but i have tested excluding that js, it doesnt work…the problem is stll there

do you have “also aggregate inline JS” active? can you deactivate?

if that doesn’t help; can you check for JS errors on the browser console again? are those the same or different?

hey…inline js is always deactivated….cause it breaks the whole site

OK, so after having excluded the owlcaroussel’s JS, what JS errors do you see on the browser console?

for blog post slider carousel

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).owlCarousel is not a function
at ?removed_item=1:267

for thumbnail woo product variation images

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).owlCarousel is not a function
at (index):126

also all cross selling product proposals / recent products and so on are visible as full images…….no carousel slider are working

ok, can you try excluding themes/xstore/js/head.min.js (the Owlcarousel JS seems to be in there)?

well, weirdness;
* I don’t see the excluded JS-file in your HTML source
* but I don’t see the JS-error any more
* and all seems to work now?

ah, and now I get that Owlcarousel error again. can you double-check your JS optimization exclusions @schubfaktor? it’s a comma-separated list, be default it has seal, js/jquery/jquery.js and in your case you’d have (at least) js/jquery/jquery.js, themes/xstore/js/head.min.js.

now i have this in excluding list

seal.js,jquery.js,front_comprssd.js,head.js,head.min.js,owlcarousel.js

but all carousel slider and thumbnail image slider are broken

ah i see

now i have

seal.js,jquery.js,front_comprssd.js,head.js,themes/xstore/js/head.min.js,owlcarousel.js

the blog post slider works now fine…….

but the product image is a little bit confusing ( see the red x on that image below )

error code says
