optimize images in folder other than media library

    That’s strange, they use the same exact function to optimize images. You can use the Show Optimize Images button the Bulk Optimize page to see recent images that have been optimized. Please double-check that your images are not showing up there after upload.

    If they are not, how specifically are you uploading the images? Are you using the standard WP uploader, or using some Media Library add-on?

    Did you set the path for the other folder?

    Advanced Settings tab > Folders to optimize (Use full paths, not relative paths) and save.

    Then run the “Bulk Optimize” tool. The images at the folders you defined in settings should be optimized as well.
