    Hi,

I have a technology blog on wordpress. I want to know whether links included within the widgets gets optimized or not.

If those links are not optimized, then how can I get get them to be optimized in search engines.

Do you know what search engine optimization means? If you mean, will Google index these external links and use them in its page rank calculations, the answer is “yes”.

Not completely. I am learning to optimize blogs and websites.

I don’t use the external links feature of the wordpress to add links pointing to other sites, I add them using simple html. I guess that doesn’t make any difference.

What I actually want to know is that if add any links in my blog, whether they are in posts or widgets, they will be crawled by search engines. I guess I am correct!?

All links will be crawled by search engines, especially Google, wherever you place them in your blog.
