I’m hoping Chip Bennet sees this and replies!

First, this plugin / widget is fabulous! It offers great flexibility, and it is well implemented! I’m using it on a site that is focused on re-tweeting tweets on the Arab Spring (

I want to ask a couple of things:

    1) I want to run around 300 tweets, live. If I set the number of tweets to show to 150, cbnet Twitter Widget doesn’t appear to display more than 20 or 30. Does set some kind of maximum here? I’m republishing Tweets from lists. I know there are more than 30 tweets in some of my lists

    2) Does cbnet Twitter Widget dynamically update? I’d love that this window of blended tweets would update all the time, so you could watch it, like an ongoing conversation.

I’m glad the Plugin is useful to you!

For future reference, when submitting a support topic for a Plugin, please use the Plugin-specific forum. (Plugin developers are more likely to be subscribed to their Plugin’s forum feed, and will be more likely to see the new support topic.) You can find a link on the Plugin’s Extend listing page.

As for your specific questions: the Plugin really is just a wrapper for the script provided by Twitter. It appears that Twitter sets an upper limit of 30 for # of Tweets. (I’ll add this limitation into the Plugin.)

The Tweets should update dynamically. Ensure that “Poll for new results” is enabled/checked.

I hope you continue to find the Plugin useful. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Oops. I actually just followed a link on your personal home page. I bear in mind the advice for the future.

On the plugin, that’s a darn shame. Do you know or can imagine any way around it? Perhaps turning a list feed into RSS?

Thanks for your time and reply

Hmm… that link should have worked, but for some reason, your topic didn’t get the subject auto-pre-pended with Plugin Name. Something else for me to look into. 🙂

As far as I know, I can’t extend the script supplied by Twitter. I know there are many great Twitter Widgets available, and mine is fairly basic. If you need to display more than the latest 30 tweets, you may need to look at a different Plugin, that makes direct API calls, and would provide greater flexibility.
