Opt-In Plugin Not Free

    Hello, as I progress in WordPress and will be looking to start contributing plugins I wanted to ask about policy. It has been my “understanding,” strictly from use and what’s apparent, that the plugins on WordPress.org are free with links to paid versions. Just wondered if that’s accurate because I downloaded one and then found out I had to pay to get any api.

    I moved this out of Requests and Feedback, that is not what that forum is for.

    Why not ask in that plugin’s dedicated support sub-forum?

    Because I wanted to know if one of the “power that be” in WordPress might weigh-in, the developers have no answer to this and there’s been a number of complaints similar to mine. I was trying to be diplomatic, my apology for mis-posting, feel free to delete if you like but I’ve marked it resolved.
