# Error Retrieving Double Optin Check

 * Hello,
 * My logs keep reporting the following issues:
 *     ```
       ERROR api.list :: Error retrieving list for double_optin check
       ERROR order_submit.error :: addStoreOrder :: Error Code 503 ::  on 2238 in /wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php
       ```
   
 * These are back to back – same time.
 * Additionally, my subscribers keep getting immediately unsubscribed via “admin_action”.
   Under Audience we have “Visible, checked by default”. The account is connected
   and the Store has been synced. Any ideas why these errors are being generated?

   to help out. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could
   you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?
 * – What plugin version are you using?
    – What version of PHP are you using? – 
   Are there any fatal errors in WooCommerce? (Log in to your store admin area, 
   click WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs) – Are you seeing this behavior with all 
   other plugins deactivated?

 *  – Up-to-date WordPress, plugins, and theme. Plugin version 2.7.2.
    – PHP Version
   7.3 – No logs that match the date of the Mailchimp errors. – Since the website
   is live, I have not gone this route since we figured it was an API issue based
   on the given errors.

   feels like an Akamai API gateway block. If you could please start with this [wiki page](https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/wiki/Troubleshooting-CURL-Errors),
   that should give us a better idea of what’s happening.
 * Are you getting “some successes” and “some errors” or are they all errors in 
   the Mailchimp logs?
