I also have a question about whether to have truncated posts or full posts, not in the feed but in the main HTML page. I can do both and I personally prefer full posts but was wondering what everyone else thinks?

The design is nice – I like it. The only thing that’s a bit overwhelming to me are those “blog stickers” images and stuff at the bottom of the sidebars.

As to full posts or what not on your site – it depends on personal preference, I think. And how long your posts are. I usually chop mine up just so the main page doesn’t get very long. But that’s me.

I could lose the buttons I suppose, or maybe condense them a little….

I’m stuck about truncated posts. hmm, might do some testing 🙂 Cheers for the feedback.

Usually I’m against full text posts on the front page, because people don’t like to scroll down thousands of px (with text) to get an overview of recent posts. Your page is certainly different because there’s little text and lots of pics/youtube, and excerpts for posts which don’t contain much text are not interesting enough.

What you COULD do is adding a list of recent posts to the top of your sidebar.

Hmm, that’s a good idea…..Does solve the problem of scrolling…

How are you doing the daily bits piece?
