  • Today I developed this tool to import wordpress blog rolls as XML document. You know when you export data from that doesn’t include the blog rolls data. So if you want to keep a backup of your blog rolls, you can use this tool to import your blog rolls data..

    You can even use it with your accounts

    <img src=’’ alt=’importer.gif’ />

    Developed using PHP and Curl.

    You can doewnload it and see the code in action here

    I don’t think it’s documented anywhere, but you can export your blogroll links as a standard OPML by going here:

    Then you can import those directly into WordPress on the Blogroll->Import Links page.

    If you have both an old and new site running at the same time, you can just put the URL of the OPML directly into the Import Links page and import directly from one to the other.

    This works on blogs too. Just add “/wp-links-opml.php” to your blog address, and you have the OPML of all your links.

    This would eliminate the need for the username and password. Also, it eliminates the need for parsing the links-manager page, and it produces a nice easy to use standard format which is accepted by all sorts of various sites.

    Thats nice!! Many thanks

    It removes the necessity for this tool.
