I really love your plugin and it is what I have been looking for for a long time. * I have 2 problems: 1) location opening hours 2) location based availability . * 1) One of the requirements of my search for a bike rental plugin is the ability to choose the pickup and drop-off location. * You have this function but the problem in that opening hours of each position is a simple FROM-TO HOURS option, but it would be better for example a multiple time slot (es. 09:00-13:00 16:00-20:00). So the user cannot pickup or dropoff the bike at 15:00 in this location. * 2) Another important feature would be location-based availability: For example: I have 10 bikes in location1 and 0 bikes in location2 and I want to accept “Rent for today at anytime”. * If someone books 10 bikes in locantion2 in 10 minutes it is difficult to arrange a transfer of 10 bikes from location1 to location2 in such a short time. * It would be useful to add an option so the plugin: 1) had an ‘inventory’ of the bikes and knows how many bikes there are in each location at any given time( based on user pickup & dropoff operations, and manual transfer operations by the administrator from the backend) 2) there was the possibility to choose in the menu “Global -> Shop and Rental” the option to allow the user’s free choice of the pickup location after X hours from now and “from now to X hours” the choice of the bike based on availability of the chosen location.` * Thanks a lot for your work. Yours are actually two interesting topics, which have also been raised by some others of our clients before. We are going to drop some comments below: * 1. This is something we could definitely implement in the next updates of the plugin. Right now, as you’ve noticed, it is not possible to define different time slots for the opening time. You can only define one time-range for the time selection. In this case, an override of the main output file could be created by cloning the original file default.php and by disabling certain hours that you don’t want to display. However, this would be a kind of a “static” modification of the default behaviour, as you would need to control every location, each by its own ID. Of course, the back-end of Vik Rent Items should allow you to define all ranges of time on which the location is open for pick up and/or drop off. * 2. This is actually a complex request, because the availability in Vik Rent Items is defined at item-level, not at item-location-level, because locations mainly serve as a filter. It would not be sufficient for the system to understand how many units of a precise item (bike) are left on a specific location on certain dates by only checking the confirmed rental orders and their start/end dates, as bikes could be moved from one location to another, and since there is no “ re-fill” function for the units, this is something that probably goes against the logic of the plugin. Right now, because the remaining units are calculated by counting the number of booked units (through confirmed rental orders) on a specific date-time range, the availability can only be defined at item-level, and so what we suggest in this case is to clone certain bikes and allocate them to only some locations. For example, you can have the “Mountain Bike XYZ” for the “Location A” and the “Mountain Bike XYZ” for the “Location B”. This way you will have two different items (bikes), one for each location, that you can use to let the system calculate the remaining units on certain time frames depending on the orders received, and you can edit the total units available by simply editing each bike.
