Feeling like read 10000 Topics about this topic but found no working solution:
I have 2 Virtual Servers – one of them is new.
I already installed a couple of WP Blogs on my old Server without any problem or error during the installation.
Now when I want to start a WP Installation on my new Server (Ubuntu, Plesk) I just get an error on the first page:
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/vhosts/domain.de/wp-config.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/domain.de/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/domain.de/httpdocs/wp-load.php on line 32
This only happens when I want to install the WP in the root folder – no problems in Subfolders!
Why does wp trys to put the “wp-config.php” in the non allowed folder instead of the “/httpdocs” folder ?!
The open_basedir path is the same as on the old server.
