# open_basedir issue

 * Hello, I’m using latest version of Download Monitor. Now if I make new download
   in my WP admin and I click “Publish” it show some PHP errors like Warning: file_exists():
   open_basedir restriction in effect…. (see attached screenshot – [https://ibb.co/K9y7BDG](https://ibb.co/K9y7BDG)).
 * It affects only new download. The old ones on my website work correctly.
    PHP
   version is 8.0.17.

    I went ahead and opened a ticket regarding this. You
   can follow the ticket here: [https://github.com/WPChill/download-monitor/issues/890](https://github.com/WPChill/download-monitor/issues/890)
   Please keep in mind that it’s just a warning and it shouldn’t affect your site.
 * You can turn debug back to false and you will no longer see that warning. To 
   do this please go to this file wp_config.php and switch from define( ‘WP_DEBUG’,
   true ); to define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); > save the file.

 * Thank you [@mplusb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mplusb/) but WP_DEBUG
   doesn’t change anything. Problem is that download doesn’t work. I’ll try to follow
   the ticket on github.

 * Can you please go to your dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info > Directories
   and Sizes > and send us a screenshot with that information?
