Hello. Please tell me if there is a tool for opening links in a new window (it would be nice to have a checkbox for defining target_blank links в самой форме комментариев wpDiscuz) As I understand, after the last update nofollow ugc was added to the links. At this stage, even if in the comments section – WordPress comment editor you set the checkbox to open the link in a new window, then after editing and saving the comment, target_blank simply disappears.

How can this be fixed without resorting to other plugins?
On the forum 4 years ago they provided a solution to add certain code to function php, but now it does not work.
In the future, please add to nofollow the same target blank or checkbox in the form wpDiscuz.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Please read this support topic: https://wpdiscuz.com/community/troubleshooting/how-to-set-external-links-to-open-in-a-new-tab/#post-3646

The same question is discussed here.

Can this be done without third party plugins? The problem is that the wpDiscuz plugin deletes, in the WordPress comment editor, this same target_blank insert. In a good way, I would edit such links manually, since it’s difficult to organize it in the form, but there’s no way here either(

Could you please provide clarification on which links you are referring to?

This problem is probably not due to the wpDiscuz plugin. Thank you for your attention, I will continue to work.

If possible, add a checkbox to the comment form – open in a new tab.

    Hello,

I have the same problem: the links in the comments area don’t open in a new tab even though they are correctly set (the article links work).

I’ve tried the solution by installing Comment Link Remove and Other Comment Tools as suggested above, but once installed it’s impossible to save the recommended setting, nothing happens.

I hope this problem will be corrected in one of the next wpDiscuz updates.

    Thanks,

    Christophe

Please deactivate the wpDiscuz plugin and check again. Let us know how it work without wpDiscuz.

Don’t forget to clear all caches before testing.

As I wrote above, the wpDiscuz plugin does not affect the comment editor. This is most likely a problem in the WordPress engine itself. After disabling the plugin and clearing the cache, target_blank still disappears.
