Open gallery on SAME page

    I just upgraded from pre version 2 to 2.0.4.

    Embedded galleries work fine – the images show up in lightbox as needed.
    However, if I show an album, the galleries within the album show up, but when I click the gallery, it just refreshes the page

    I want my gallery to open within the same page – this was an option available in previous Nextgen gallery plugin versions before 2, but I can’t find the option anymore.

    All my galleries are set to page link to nothing.

    E.g.
    Album called centre photos
    Page shows all galleries of centre photos:
    centre 1, centre 2, centre 3
    When I click centre 1, it refreshes the page….I want it to open centre 1 gallery on the page and show me all the images as thumbnails….

    I have used the insert nextgen gallery post button and gone through the wizard accordingly

    Any ideas?

    @gurdain – Everything looks right with what you are describing, did you go through the standard troubleshooting with other plugins and the current theme? I’m leaning more towards something getting left over in the database going from NextGEN Legacy (pre-2.0.x) to current NextGEN Gallery so if the troubleshooting does not point out an issue please submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) and we will try to help you sort this out.

    As I didn’t have many galleries to worry about
    I deleted the plugin from the admin, I then went into my database and delete the three ngg_ tables in the database

    I installed fresh using FTP and activated

    Now I cannot add galleries…when the files upload it completes saying – 0 images were uploaded

    I have reset permalinks, cleared cache, reinstalled the plugin using the inbuilt wordpress admin.

    I have noticed the new installation has not created any ngg_ tables….is this the problem??

    Ok I ended up installing NextCellent which is a custom version of Nextgen Gallery designed to avoid accidentally updating to 2 and breaking the site.

    Turns out after all the uploading of galleries from the beginning, that I can’t get the albums to show here either. Perhaps the problem existed previously and I had no idea. I click a gallery and it just refreshes the page!!

    I hope you can help me diagnose what has happened, here is the URL of the page in question:
