Open external link in lightbox instead of photo

    Just trying to search the plugins and forums here, and not sure I’m finding what I’m after.

    Has anyone written a plugin or shortcode that, instead of opening an external link in a popup, would instead load it in a lightbox?

    I am wanting to use iframes and I have an old iframe plugin installed on my site right now. Many browsers are blocking popups these days (and for good reason), so I want to display the iframe in a lightbox instead.

    Anyone?

    I too am looking for a solution like this.
    We have some HTML5 360 degree images and would like to call the page into a lightbox. This way it doesn’t open in a new tab.
    Did you have any luck?

    Nothing so far. . . I can do this in a popup in regular html thanks to javascript code I found years ago, but I haven’t found anything for wordpress yet.
