"Open, clicks, unsubscribed" Clarification

    Quick questions:

    1

    If open is 20, clicks is 10 and unsubscribed is 5

    Does this mean that there were 10 total clicks and half of the clicks were to unsubscribe from the newsletter?

    OR

    Does it mean there were 10 clicks that were to do something other than to unsubscribe?

    2

    Is clicks the number of subscribers who clicked on a link in the newsletter?

    OR

    Is clicks the total number of links clicked on in the newsletter, even if one subscriber clicked on three different links in the newsletter?

    Open, clicks and unsubscribe are all counted independently of each other.

    Open is the number of people who opened the email, but took no other action.

    Clicks are the number of people who read your email and clicked on a “valuable” link to your content in your newsletter.

    Unsubscribe is the number of people who read your email, then clicked “Unsubscribe”

    SO

    The total number of subscribers who “read” the email (newsletter) is open+clicks+unsubscribe
