opacity vs rgba

  • When using the opacity css option the text of the description box inherits the opacity. I think the use of rgba value’s for a background is much better.

    My little tweak for the css is as followed:

    .slideshow_container .slideshow_description { background: rgba(0,0,0,0.7); width: 300px; right: 30px; height: 95%; }

    Ofcourse this will resize the desciption box to my likings but people can play around with rgba (Note that rgba is not suported in IE8 and lower)

    And please remember to remove these lines:

    .slideshow_container .slideshow_transparent { filter: alpha(opacity = 50); opacity: 0.5; }
    .slideshow_container .slideshow_transparent:hover { filter: alpha(opacity = 80); opacity: 0.8; }
