Hi @sprocker,
Thank you so much for getting in touch, we really appreciate your time.
Just to confirm, this is specifically when adding a marker? If so, it seems like you will need to ensure all the required APIs are enabled for the API key you are making use of such as Geocoding, Places, Maps JavaScript, and Directions which can all be enabled via the Google Cloud Console.
Please refer to our website for exact instructions on hot ensure your API key is correctly set up.
Kindest Regards,
Steven
Yes – but only at the client’s office on their computers – works perfectly fine on my computer.
Any idea on why it would not be working just for them?
Hi @sprocker,
Thank you so much for getting back to me.
Might I kindly ask if your client has perhaps tried a different browser or has cleared the cache in their browser?
What could be occurring is that their browser is cached and showing old website data instead of the new data.
Additionally, feel free to get in touch with us directly via our website as one of our agents would be happy to take a closer look.

could this be a role based thing – can’t get the location to save unless I change their role to Administrator?!?
Hi @sprocker,
Thank you so much for getting back to me.
The error you previously mentioned usually has nothing to do with the user role and more specifically, the user role permissions setting in WP Google Maps simply prevents certain roles from accessing the map editor whereas in this case, the map editor is accessible but seem to be receiving a normal API error which is only given by a failed API request and user roles do not affect this.
With that said, kindly get in touch with us directly via our website as one of our agents will be more than happy to take a much closer look into what is occurring here.
Kindest Regards,
Steven De Beer
