    Hi,

I am trying to start the data optimisation on my website but it keeps failing with this error message.

Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.

I have installed the Yoast Helper plugin and then started the optimisation again which goes to about half way and then fails.

Is there anything else I can try to get this working?

    Thanks

    Hi @mattm3.

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!
We understand analysis goes halfway and then fails. You even tried resetting the Yoast indexable using the Yoast Test Helper plugin but to no avail.

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Can you inform us of the results?

    Hi Suwash,

I installed the health check plugin, activated the Yoast plugin and then started the data optimisation but it failed straight away didn’t even get half way like before I then enabled the Yoast Helper plugin and reset the tables and started the optimisation again and this then got half way and failed.

I also tried it without the health check plugin by disabling all plugins but the Yoast plugin and changed my theme to Twenty Twenty but it still failed.

I’m not sure if that makes any difference but I am using Yoast SEO Premium rather than the free version.
