# Only using the comments

 * Hello. I have an existing site that uses another content manager software but
   it doesn’t offer a comment feature. Is it possible to use only the WordPress’s
   comment feature? Thanks!

 * Comments are tied to individual posts, and you’d have to do some (possibly major)
   modifications to the core source to interact with your other software. Starting
   from scratch (or finding a generic comments script and modifying that) would 
   be the better way to go about what you’re looking to do.

 * There is a comment system you can use, but since it’s not WP related I;m not 
   sure if it has any relevance to the forum
