Support » Plugin: Wordfence Security - Firewall & Malware Scan » Only User Live Traffic

Since I blocked hostname *amazonaws, live traffic security events have increased endlessly. Thousands of bad crawler requests are blocked which is great but it blows up my live traffic storage. It keeps me from using the tool to track users that login to our site – for what I initially installed Wordfence.

Is there any way to just record live traffic of users that login and logout?

If not, could you please add this to the wishlist?

    Thanks!

Hello @loano1 and thanks for reaching out to us!

If you specifically want to view logins on your Live Traffic you can filter it by “Logins”. Navigate to your Tools > Live Traffic page and click “Show Advanced Filters”. On the filter drop-down, select “Logins”. This should display all the Login attempts done on your site.

Let me know if this answers your question!

    Thanks!

    Hi @wfadam ,

Thanks for your reply! I am afraid I did not quite make myself clear.

I am aware of the filters; my point is not to record this traffic. Currently I allow to store 2 million rows in wfhits, which is about 890 MiB. Still, I can only go back about 2 weeks because so many unnecessary hits are recorded.

I would like to save 1 year of traffic, but only the logins and logouts. Otherwise, let me do the math, I would have to store 52 million rows of traffic, which is about 23.140 MiB.

Is there any way to achieve this?

    Thanks!

    Sorry about that @loano1

I understand what you mean now. Currently, there isn’t a feature to allow storing individual filters. This is a good suggestion though and I will inform the team of this!

This has been requested before so it’s possible that it could be implemented in the future.

Thanks for your input! You could store the data, if you have space, in the manner you suggested for now.

    Thanks again!
