The widget provides a number of CSS classes that allow you to style the list.
If you’re familiar with html/css, feel free to check out the html source and css on my site to see how I’ve styled the list: http://darrinb.com/blog/
My list is styled similar to what you’re describing, so that should get you going in the right direction.

Thanks for your reply but I’m not familiar with html/css. Is there any other help you can give me?
Can you provide a link to your site with the plugin installed and the widget active?

My site is not active yet. I can make you a user if you give me an email address.
Sure thing; my about page has my contact info: http://darrinb.com/about/
Ok, this should work: https://gist.github.com/dboutote/ec7e1b7bde7c5d872ec582f2969abc55
Try adding that to your theme’s stylesheet.

Thanks for your help with this, that’s looking really good now.
There is now a problem with the link not taking the user to the correct comment. Would you please let me know what I can do? The widget appears on my home page.
I’m not following? I clicked the first comment link under “Recent Blog and Resources Comments” and it took me to the correct comment.
The link url in the widget is:
[site-home]/resources/from-business-consultancy-to-business-resultancy/#comment-10
The link content was:
“I find it interesting that the CEO’s in the article approach hiring consultants”
Clicking the link URL indicator on the comment itself showed the link:
[site-home]/resources/from-business-consultancy-to-business-resultancy/#comment-10
Seems to be working, as far as I can tell.

Thanks Darrin. It’s still not always coming up right when I try it but I don’t think it’s the widget. I’m very happy with how it’s looking now.
Do you mean where your screen scrolls to when the page loads? If so, that’s because you have a fixed header. But in terms of the actual link, the url is correct.

Yep that’s what I mean and I can see that the url is correct. Not ideal but I can live with it.
