Hi Deepen, I’m testing your Zoom plugin, and mostly things are great. Very nice to create Zoom meetings on the WP backend.
I have created a test meeting, and checked “Only signed-in users can join this meeting”, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. If I log out of WP and go to the page with my meeting link, it still takes me to the meeting. I expected that checking this option would disable the link to the meeting. Am I missing something?
This is related to zoom actually. Only signed-in users on zoom will only be able to join a desired meeting. Meaning that random people with meeting link will not be able to join directly by specifying name instead they will need to login to zoom.
For that to happen on WordPress side you will need to do it manually for now which is by conditionally checking on do_shortcode method but if you insert meeting link via text editor then it is somehow a problem for now so will definitely list this feature in next version update. I think this should be available..
What I think you are saying is that if the “Only signed-in users can join this meeting” box is checked, users must sign in to zoom (on the zoom side) to join the meeting. I think you mean that it controls the “Require Registration” setting on the zoom side of things, https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/211579443-Registration-for-Meetings.
I set up a meeting with your plugin so “Only signed-in users can join this meeting”, but when I test this in a Guest User account on my Mac, zoom allows me to enter the meeting, only asking me to provide my name. It does not require me to sign into Zoom with email. See this screencast.
